We think the Creston Valley is a very special place. Take a little time to explore this hidden gem of the Kootenays and we think you will agree.

Creston's agricultural heritage is evident in the many orchards, farms and vineyards that surround and link our community and give it its special character. The Creston Valley is wide, green, fertile and sunny!

We have plenty of wilderness too, sitting snuggly between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain Ranges - not to mention the vast Kootenay lake right on our dorrstep.

There is so much to see and do in and around Creston, here is just a taster of what's available.

There is plenty available to keep you active during your stay with us.

Creston has a magnificent golf course. Creston Golf Club is a challenging course, the backdrop of the Purcell Mountains makes for a spectacular round and the water hazards come complete with resident turtles. Watch out for hole 7 and its 15-storey drop from tee to fairway!

Creston is fishing heaven. Fifteen minutes north of the hotel is Duck Lake, home to yellw perch, whitefish and some of the best largemouth bass fishing in North America - Duck Lake is rated in the top 10 bass lakes in Canada. Just a little further North is the 100km long Kootenay Lake, fish from shore or boat for bull trout, rocky mountain whitefish, kokanee, burbot and the legendary gerrard rainbows. Hook one of these monsters and you're in for an experience you will never gorget.

With many spectacular trails in the area Creston is an ideal base for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding.

With our extensive wetland habitat and a beautiful stretch of the Kootenay River the area is also ideal for Kayaking and Canoeing.
