We think the Creston Valley is a very special place. Take a little time to explore this hidden gem of the Kootenays and we think you will agree.

Creston's agricultural heritage is evident in the many orchards, farms and vineyards that surround and link our community and give it its special character. The Creston Valley is wide, green, fertile and sunny!

We have plenty of wilderness too, sitting snuggly between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain Ranges - not to mention the vast Kootenay lake right on our dorrstep.

There is so much to see and do in and around Creston, here is just a taster of what's available.

The creston welcome doesn't stop at our hotel. Creston offers a host of special events to bring new friendsto our community.

The famous Blossom Festival takes place every May and features a huge range of events including THREE pancake breakfasts; the big parade featuring marching bands, floats, clowns, horses; events saluting our history at the Creston Museum; 16th Avenue Experience in and near Millenium Park, Saturday Street Fair in Creston's downtown Spirit Square; Lion's Kid's parade and picnic; the great Creston Chili Cook Off; the Classic Car Show and Shine; Soccer Tournament; and much more.

The Creston Valley Fall Fair takes place in September and includes judged exhibits of livestock, farm & garden produce, baking, preserves, arts, crafts & youth exhibits. There is also a scarecrow contest, largest pumpkin contest, entertainment & food booths.

For one day only each year, the Creston Museum gets covered in quilts! Antique quilts, modern quilts, and everything in between, all on display in the Museum's exhibit galleries. Some of the quilts are from the Museum's collection; many are on loan from local quilters. Some of them are even for sale. The display is different every year, and every year we have at least 100 quilts and quilted items on display. The Quilts for Kids quilters are on site and working, with refreshments and quilt blocks for sale.
